Dr. Charles A. Kuntz, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVS
Dr. Charles A. Kuntz is a distinguished veterinary surgeon with over 30 years of experience. He earned his DVM from the University of Florida in 1990, followed by an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Charles completed a Master’s degree alongside his surgical residency at Virginia Tech and pursued specialized fellowships in cardiac surgery at Auburn University and cancer surgery at Colorado State University, where he also served as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery.
In 1998, Charles founded a surgical referral practice in Washington, DC, before moving to Australia in 2004 to establish Southpaws Specialty Surgery. Throughout his career, he has trained 10 surgical residents, all of whom achieved specialist qualifications. An internationally recognized speaker and published author, Charles is also deeply passionate about AI and education, focusing on using innovative technologies to enhance veterinary learning and care.
